The information we collect
We collect personal data when you make a booking, request a quote, send us a
message via our contact form, or sign in to your customer account. This
includes your name, address, phone number, email address, vehicle
registration and the work you’ve asked us to do.
We never sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Why we collect it
We use your information to deliver the service you’ve booked,
contact you about your vehicle (status updates, ready-for-collection
messages, MOT reminders), send invoices and receipts, and keep records
required by HMRC and DVSA. We also use service-history data to advise
you on future maintenance.
How long we keep it
Booking, invoice and service-history records are kept for at least
seven years (HMRC requirement). MOT records are kept for
the lifetime of the vehicle’s VRM in our DVSA-linked system.
Cookies on this site
We use a small number of cookies. The cookie banner you saw on your
first visit lets you choose which categories to allow:
Strictly necessary (always on)
- PHPSESSID, ffg_customer_sid, ffg_admin_sid, ffg_admin_trust
— keep you signed in and remember your booking-flow state. These
cookies expire when you sign out, or after 30 days of inactivity.
- __cf_bm, _cfuvid (Cloudflare) — block automated
attacks and abuse. Set by our CDN provider, expire within 30 minutes
of inactivity.
- ffg_cookie_consent — remembers your choice
from the cookie banner so it doesn’t reappear on every page.
Expires after 12 months.
Analytics (only with your consent)
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — helps us see
which pages our customers use most and where to improve. Set by
Google, expire after up to 13 months. IP addresses are anonymised.
These cookies are only set if you click “Accept all”
on the cookie banner.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking
Cookie settings in the footer of
any page.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (a Subject Access Request)
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep (subject to our HMRC retention obligations)
- Object to direct marketing — opt out by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
- Complain to the
Information Commissioner’s Office
if you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your data

- Migadu (email host) — the contents of emails we send you
- ClickSend — SMS reminders
- Cloudflare — bot protection and content delivery
- Google Analytics — only if you’ve accepted analytics cookies

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated”
date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be announced via
a notice on the homepage.
